Split Earlobes
Pierced earlobes sometimes stretch or may even split through completely. This is relatively common, particularly for women who have worn heavy earrings. The treatment is very simple and is performed under local anaesthesia and completely eliminates the stretched piercing hole or split lobe and of course leaves a small scar on the ear instead.
Piercing can be revised once the wounds have healed in an area adjacent to, but not through, the scar that has been produced by the surgery to correct the split.
